Fascias
The boards along your roof edge that carry the guttering and close off the roof structure.
Fascia servicesGive your roof edges a fresh, protected finish. We install and replace fascias, soffits, guttering, downpipes and cladding, all matched to your property and fitted with care, so the result looks right and keeps the weather out for years to come.
Your roofline is the band of boards, trims and rainwater fittings that runs along the edge of your roof. When it is well installed and properly maintained, it protects the structure beneath, moves rainwater away cleanly and sets off the whole appearance of your property.
We work on all kinds of buildings, including traditional terraces, modern homes, bungalows, period houses, rental properties and commercial premises, and we match the materials, profiles and colours to each one. Some people come to us for a single repair. Others want the whole roof edge brought up to the same standard in one go. Either way, the aim is a tidy, hard-wearing finish that keeps the weather out and looks right on your home.
We install, replace and repair every part of the roofline. Pick a service below to see what the work involves, the choices you have and what affects the cost.

Repairs & maintenanceA well-specified roofline does more than look tidy. It manages rainwater, shelters the roof structure and keeps maintenance low, provided the right materials are installed correctly for your property.
Sound fascias, gutters and downpipes move water away from the walls and foundations, reducing the risk of damp and timber decay around the roof edge.
Clean lines, coordinated colours and crisp trims lift the appearance of the whole property and present it at its best.
Modern uPVC and aluminium systems resist rot and fading and typically need only an occasional wipe down, unlike painted timber.
Fascias and bargeboards close off and support the roof structure, helping to keep out wind-driven rain, birds and pests.
Ventilated soffits allow air to move through the roof void, which helps manage condensation when specified correctly.
Match or deliberately contrast your roofline with windows, doors and brickwork for a considered, cohesive look.
Benefits depend on the condition of your property and correct specification. We advise on what is realistic for your home during the assessment.
No two roofs are the same, so we do not treat them as if they are. Each project starts with a proper look at your property and ends with a finish that has been measured, cut and fitted to suit it.
From classic white to contemporary anthracite, the finish you choose shapes the character of your property. These are the options we most often work with. Exact availability is confirmed when you select your materials.
The traditional, clean choice. Bright, familiar and easy to coordinate with most properties.
A modern favourite (often RAL 7016) that pairs well with grey windows and contemporary builds.
A bold, defined edge that suits both period and modern homes looking for contrast.
Foiled finishes such as Rosewood, Golden Oak or Irish Oak for a timber look without the upkeep.
Rigid, long-life guttering and fascia options for larger or more exposed properties.
Durable, low-maintenance cladding boards for a textured, architectural wall finish.
A straightforward process designed to keep you informed at every stage.

Roofline work is best judged once it's finished: clean lines, a colour that suits the house and gutters that run true. The images below are placeholders for now. We'll add photographs of real, completed projects here as they are approved.
Roofline problems tend to start small and get worse with every wet season. If you notice any of these, it is worth having them assessed early.
Soft, flaking or discoloured timber along the roof edge is a sign of water getting in.
Gaps and cracks let in damp and pests and can point to problems in the roof space.
Water spilling over the edge or dripping from joints often means blockages or failed seals.
Detached brackets and wobbly pipes can send water against the wall instead of to the drain.
Flaking paint and algae on boards or walls suggest moisture that isn't draining away.
Damp patches on upper walls or weather-damaged gable boards need prompt attention.
Most domestic roofline replacements take between one and three days, depending on the size of the property, the number of elevations and whether scaffolding or access towers are required. We confirm a realistic timescale with your written quotation.
Access requirements depend on the height and layout of your property. Single-storey work can often be completed from towers or ladders, while two-storey and complex roofs usually need scaffolding for safe, tidy installation. Any access needs are set out in your quotation.
Capping (cladding over existing timber) is sometimes possible where the underlying boards are sound, but full replacement is usually the more reliable long-term option because it removes rotten timber and allows the roofline to be inspected. We advise on the best approach after assessing your property.
Common options include white uPVC, anthracite grey, black and woodgrain-effect finishes, with aluminium and composite systems available for certain applications. Exact availability is confirmed when you choose your materials.
It often makes sense to replace guttering while the fascias are being renewed, because the gutter fixes to the fascia and access is already set up. We'll give you honest advice on whether your existing rainwater goods are worth keeping.
