Cookie Policy
What cookies are, how this website uses them, and how you can control them. We aim to keep cookie use to a minimum and do not set non-essential tracking cookies by default.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences and, in some cases, to collect information about how a site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage and web fonts loaded from other servers, can work in comparable ways.
Cookies are generally grouped into "essential" cookies, which are needed for a site to function, and "non-essential" cookies, such as analytics, preference and marketing cookies, which under UK law usually require your consent before they are set.
2. How this website uses cookies
This website is designed to use minimal cookies. By default it does not set non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Please note that this site currently loads its fonts from Google Fonts, a third-party service provided by Google. When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address and some technical request information are shared with Google in order to deliver the fonts. This does not set advertising cookies on this site, but it does involve a request to a third-party server. If this is a concern, fonts can be self-hosted, as noted in section 6.
Any limited cookies or local storage used by the site are for essential or basic functional purposes, such as helping the site display and behave correctly.
3. Categories of cookies and technologies
The table below sets out the categories relevant to this website. It should be reviewed and completed with the exact items in use once the site configuration is finalised.
| Category | Purpose | Set by default? | Examples / notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core functions and allow the site to display and operate correctly. These do not require consent. | Yes, where needed | Basic functional storage, if any. none beyond the basic functional storage the site needs to work |
| Functional / preferences | Remember choices you make to improve your experience. | No | Not currently used. none currently in use |
| Analytics / performance | Measure how visitors use the site so it can be improved. | No | Not currently used. See section 6 if analytics is added. |
| Marketing / advertising | Track browsing to show or measure advertising. | No | Not used. |
| Third-party resources | Content loaded from other services needed to render the page. | Yes | Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). |
4. Consent
Under PECR and the UK GDPR, non-essential cookies may only be set with your consent. Because this website does not currently set non-essential cookies by default, a consent banner may not be strictly required in its current form. If analytics, marketing or other non-essential cookies are added in future, an appropriate consent mechanism must be put in place so that such cookies are only set after you have given consent. If such cookies are added in future, a consent banner will be shown before they are set.
5. How to control cookies in your browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and warn you before new ones are set. The steps vary by browser, so look for the "Privacy", "Cookies" or "Site data" section of your settings. Manufacturer guidance is available for:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Apple Safari
Please note that blocking some cookies may affect how parts of websites work. Blocking requests to third-party font servers may change how this site's text is displayed.
6. If analytics or other tools are added later
If we introduce analytics (for example a privacy-focused analytics tool or Google Analytics), advertising, embedded video or other technologies that set non-essential cookies, this policy will be updated to list them, and an appropriate consent banner will be added so these are only set with your agreement. Self-hosting the website fonts is also an option that would remove the third-party font request described in section 2. No analytics or additional tracking tools are currently in use.
